Intensive Vegetable Production System
This system comprises fields for horticultural, fruit and citrus production. It includes fields where trees and/or shrubs are grown for production of fruit, either pit, stone, citrus or small fruit. There are several subsystems according to the predominant species and geographical area. While priority is given to production for fresh consumption in almost all species, transformation and industrialization are also the objective for some items in particular, such as vines and olive trees.
