Rice Production

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

Contributing to the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the rice production chain through the development of cultivars and the integration of good management practices, in order to maximize yield potential and grain quality while preserving natural resources in the production systems.

   • Cooperative development of hybrids.
   • Variety development.
   • Disease characterization and management.
   • Irrigation management and water use efficiency.
   • Integrated weed mangement and herbicide resistance.
   • Anticipation of phosphate fertilization.
   • Efficiency of nitrogen fertilization and parameters for
     its recommendation.
   • Overcoming the yield barrier.
   • Service of detection of herbicide-tolerant weeds.
   • Competitiveness of the rice production chain.
   • Cooking quality.
